The internet is loud. For almost anything you might want to buy, there are endless products, promises, and "reviews" that are really just sales pitches in disguise. SonarPick exists to cut through that noise — to search widely, filter honestly, and hand you a short list of picks with the context you need to decide for yourself.
Who runs SonarPick
My name is Cassiano Azevedo. I founded SonarPick in 2026 and I write and edit everything on it. There is no team, no newsroom, and no anonymous group of contributors behind a brand name — it is one person, and I would rather say so plainly than let a logo imply otherwise.
I've spent my working life in digital product and design, which is mostly a job about separating what a thing claims to do from what it actually does. SonarPick applies that same habit to buying decisions. I write for a US audience, and I do it from Curitiba, Brazil, where I live. Working from outside the United States doesn't change how carefully a spec sheet, a warranty, or a return policy gets read — but you deserve to know it, so it's on this page rather than buried somewhere.

What SonarPick publishes
Editorial guides, comparisons, and recommendations across a handful of categories — pets, learning, home and living, health and everyday wellbeing, tech, and gifts. Every piece is written to be useful before it ever suggests a product. The goal isn't to push you toward a purchase; it's to help you understand your options, including their limits and who each one is genuinely for.
How the research is done — and what I don't do
SonarPick is a research and comparison site. For each guide I read the manufacturer's own documentation and specifications, the warranty and return terms, independent standards and certifications where they exist, and a wide sample of verified owner reports over time — paying particular attention to what people say six months in rather than on day one. Then I compare the realistic options against each other and explain the trade-offs.
What I do not do is hands-on lab testing. I don't own a testing bench, and I'm not going to pretend that I bought and stress-tested a $2,000 appliance in order to sell you one. When I have personally used or owned something I'm writing about, the article says so explicitly, in that article. If it doesn't say so, assume I haven't — that is the safest way to read this site, and it's the way I'd want to read someone else's.
How the site makes money
SonarPick is free to read. It's supported through affiliate partnerships: when I recommend a product and you buy it through one of my links, I may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. I only earn if you choose to click through and purchase.
Being paid by commission raises an obvious question: can you trust the recommendation? My answer is transparency. Affiliate links are disclosed clearly wherever they appear, recommendations are based on the research described above, and a commission never changes what gets recommended or what gets said about it. The full Affiliate Disclosure is available anytime.
Editorial standards
- Independence. No advertiser or affiliate partner writes, approves, reviews, or edits anything published here. None has ever been offered that opportunity.
- Honesty about limits. Trade-offs, downsides, and who a product is not for get the same space as the upsides.
- No invented experience. No fabricated test results, no fake testimonials, no made-up hands-on claims, no guarantees a product can't keep.
- Transparency. Editorial content and affiliate links are kept visually distinct, and commercial relationships are disclosed.
- Corrections, not quiet edits. When something here is wrong, it gets fixed and the correction is noted on the page rather than silently rewritten.
- Information, not professional advice. This is general guidance. For medical, veterinary, financial, or legal decisions, consult a qualified professional.
Found a mistake? Tell me
Corrections are welcome and they get read by the person who wrote the thing — there's no support queue in between. If something here is inaccurate, out of date, or unfair to a product, write to contact@sonarpick.com or use the contact page. The same address works for brands, publishers, and affiliate managers who want to get in touch.
This page was last updated in August 2026. It is kept current as the site changes — if the site ever stops being a one-person operation, this is the page that will say so first.
